New Logo!

I designed a new logo for a fresh start to Spring and more inspiration!

This change is weather is just what I need, and I am excited for the warmer months. Getting rid of coats and wearing flip flops is my favorite!

There are many design ideas brewing in my head. Within the next few weeks, I will start cranking them out. This blog also needs a makeover, so that is on my list too. Be on a look out to an updated layout and banner.

Love Spring and Summer! Love bright colors!

I loved working with Jill on her dog graphics. The coats came out pretty adorable!

2012 Rock -N- Roll for Rescues!

The Humane Society of Calvert County is having their 3rd annual Rock -N- Roll for Rescues fundraising event in March! I had the pleasure of promoting this event again this year with flyers and posters. Plenty of tickets are still available.

Musical entertainment will feature The Fabulous Hubcaps and Calvert County's finest Rockin' Elvis! Come on out for an evening full of music, dancing, and entertainment. Calvert School of Dance dancers will also performing with Rockin' Elvis. And yes, even yours truly (ME!) will be tap dancing during one of his songs! As a CSD alumni (the studio I grew up dancing with) and a volunteer close to one of HSCC's most dedicated volunteers (MY MOM!), my heart goes into this fundraiser, and I hope to see all of your smiling faces there to enjoy the evening!

There will be food and drinks to purchase, a silent auction, and new this year, a fun PHOTO BOOTH! Photographer Desiree Stover from Baltimore, MD (http://www.desireestoverphotography.com) will be there throughout the evening to capture all details and moments! All proceeds will go to the HSCC. Our shelter dogs and foster cats are counting on you!

Christmas Card

Here is the Christmas card I did for our first Christmas together as a married couple. It was a neat way to incorporate a wedding silhouette!

Happy New Year!

Sunday, November 20, 2011

For a while now, I have been wanting to start a bridal silhouette line. I did a few doggie silhouettes for note cards, and I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to incorporate that into wedding materials. The above is an example of a silhouette used for a thank you card. I took some time today to play around with the concept. Who is that bride and groom? Yes, I made Chris and me the guinea pig couple. I see these being a unique design to Save the Dates and invitations using engagement photos. They would make a great thank you card after the wedding as well. You can't get more personalized than this along with your own wedding colors/theme.

My bridal silhouette designs are soon to come!

Christmas Invitation

I designed a Christmas party invitation for a family friend, and it put me into the holiday spirit! She wanted gold ornaments and snowflakes. As a nice touch, I paired them with metallic gold envelopes.

The ornaments were fun to work with, and I am inspired to design with them a little more. The examples are above are her invitation without the personal information and a blank version. This design will work well for a holiday invitation or note pad.
